Meet Our Board of Volunteers
Tiffany Frye, President
- I am the founder of this charity, a mom of five children and a full-time ICU nurse at Holy Family Hospital. I struggled during my childhood with so many things that no child should ever have to deal with. But I believe the challenges of my past have made me stronger. Neither children nor adults can be protected from every adversity but by showing kindness, and encouraging others to do the same, we can be a tool to help them overcome it. After all, "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all."
Michaela Davis, Secretary
- I am the mother of two beautiful girls who are living in a world so different from when I was young. Growing up in poverty has given me the drive to help others and I want my children to understand and recognize when others are in need, and most importantly to do something about it. Every child deserves chances and opportunities. We are incredibly blessed to help make a difference in this community.
Curtis Frye, CPA, Treasurer
- I am a really big fan of Kindness For A Cause because I have seen the children's faces when they have received the kindness this charity demonstrates. I have also been present since its formation in an advisory capacity and have recently started handling the charity's taxes, legal documentation, and fundraising. I volunteer at every event and you may have met me at a Post-Easter Eggstravaganza as the easter bunny.
Maude Marvicsin, Board Member
- It’s my belief that our purpose in life is to be of service to others and kindness makes our hearts happy. I am a retired nurse with 35+ years of trying to make a difference in the lives of others. It’s my wish to continue to do just that through this experience.
Misty White, Board Member
- I am a mom of three boys and two angels. I am a Lead Operations Specialist at Evangeline’s House, a short-term emergency care placement facility for children in foster care. I believe that no child should feel left out when it comes to the joy experienced on special occasions.
Angel Wicker, Board Member
- I am a nursing student at EWU and an Aide in an Enhanced Support Facility. I lived barely above the poverty line up until I was 8 years old. My mom worked 3 jobs and went to college to support me and my brother. A lot of our birthdays and Christmases would not have been able to happen had it not been for charities. My mom was able to pull us out eventually and we ended up in a much better situation. But I don't know if we would have been able to do that had it not been for help offered to us. Because of this, I've come to believe that, whenever possible, you should always offer help to those in need, and at my current position in life, I'm lucky enough to do just that.
